He decided to try crop insurance and still was not impressed for two or three years. \u201cI didn\u2019t need it,\u201d Sulak said, during the Blackland Income Growth (BIG) conference in Waco. \u201cThen I had two or three dry years.\u201d\u00a0And last spring made a believer out of him. \u201cWe had a late freeze that hurt our wheat crop. Crop insurance kept some of us in business after that loss.
