{"id":9755,"date":"2018-06-13T08:32:39","date_gmt":"2018-06-13T13:32:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/72.52.184.4\/~cropinsuranceina\/?p=9755"},"modified":"2018-06-13T08:32:39","modified_gmt":"2018-06-13T13:32:39","slug":"ncis-launches-website-highlighting-crop-insurance-in-all-50-states","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iripreviewsite.com\/cropinsuranceinamerica\/ncis-launches-website-highlighting-crop-insurance-in-all-50-states\/","title":{"rendered":"NCIS Launches Website Highlighting Crop Insurance in All 50 States"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Senate officially begins its Farm Bill process June 13, as the Agriculture Committee debates a draft bipartisan bill released last week by the panel\u2019s top Republican and Democrat.<\/p>\n<p>And thanks to a new website just unveiled by the National Crop Insurance Services (NCIS), Senators and other interested parties won\u2019t have to look very far for information about how crop insurance affects every state in the country.<\/p>\n<p>The new website, <a href=\"http:\/\/portal.criticalimpact.com\/go\/1\/041a862d66eb1331a6473c7b9fa19141\/29371\/aea8401058fd5753\/5e8b4f8fb21148783947229f28c3afba\">Crop Insurance In My State<\/a>, offers an interactive map that provides visitors with access to state-specific information such as: number of crop insurance policies, acres insured, value of insurance protection, how much farmers paid for coverage, how much insurers paid to cover losses, and hail protection coverage.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the interactive map, the site includes 50 downloadable and printable fact sheets, as well as farmer testimonial videos and articles from several states. There\u2019s also a dynamic social media feed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCrop insurance is a cornerstone to modern-day farm policy, and growers from coast to coast have called it their top Farm Bill priority,\u201d explained Tom Zacharias, president of NCIS.\u00a0 \u201cThis site really shows, on a state-by-state basis, the success of crop insurance and why it\u2019s agriculture\u2019s most important risk management tool.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The new site pairs with the already established site <a href=\"http:\/\/portal.criticalimpact.com\/go\/1\/041a862d66eb1331a6473c7b9fa19141\/29371\/aea8401058fd5753\/b94f6c085d4303313947229f28c3afba\">Crop Insurance In America<\/a>, which takes a national look at crop insurance and the record 311 million acres it protects.\u00a0 The Crop Insurance In America site was first introduced 10 years ago, and has since been added to the Library of Congress\u2019 prestigious <a href=\"http:\/\/portal.criticalimpact.com\/go\/1\/041a862d66eb1331a6473c7b9fa19141\/29371\/aea8401058fd5753\/e72574d26ed327f73947229f28c3afba\">historical collection<\/a>.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Senate officially begins its Farm Bill process June 13, as the Agriculture Committee debates a draft bipartisan bill released last week by the panel\u2019s top Republican and Democrat.
